UPDATE: Shinyalu Constituency MP Justus Kizito Freed on Bond After Spending Night in Police Custody

Hon Kizito was freed by court after spending the night in custody following his arrest on Thursday evening by sleuths from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).

Kakamega Court on Friday freed Shinyalu MP Justus Kizito, who was arrested on Thursday evening.

The legislator was areigned in Court over accusations of malicious damage to property, on a Sh100,000 bond on Thursday.

The vocal legislator was arrested by the officers from DCI on allegations of destroying property in Ileo area of Kakamega County.

According to the police who detained the Shinyalu Constituency, the MP had allegedly destroyed property worth Ksh250,000 leading to his arrest.

Hon Kizito was arrested on Thursday afternoon after being accused of destroying two semi-permanent houses and a wooden fence according to his chargesheet.
