A coup attempt has been foiled by the Sudanese Army and this has been announced this Tuesday morning by the state media.
The failed coup took place this Tuesday morning and according to reports, it was carried out by a few element's in the army who are allied to former President Omar Albashir.
The failed coup also involved an attempt to take over the state owned Radio station in Omdurman across the River Nile from Kartoum.
The state Media further announcement that there are measures that have been put in place to contain the failed coup with more information about it expected expected out soon as they unfolds.
