Kericho county senator Aaron Cheruiyot was one of the iconic leaders who welcomed the second in command to the county today as details of what he told the people of Kedowa after DP Ruto and his allies left emerged.
DP Ruto was visiting Kericho County for the empowerment drive, opening of schools and campaigning for his newly formed UDA party. Ruto together with other leaders made several rallies within the County where Kedowa was among them.
Senator Cheruiyot, after DP Ruto left Kedowa, said he was extremely elated after residents accorded him a warm reception while entering and making his speech before DP Ruto.
"Thank you Kedowa! Extremely elated by your warm reception.Joined H.E the Deputy President and other leaders for an economic empowerment of Boda Boda groups, Mama mboga groups and other traders at Kedowa Market, Kipkelion East. The Bottom Up Economic Model is a solution to the challenges bedeviling traders who have suffered in the hands of lenders. The only surest way to dismantle and get rid of the top to bottom, old, and oppressive systems and politics that holds back our people," Senator Cheruiyot said.
Several leaders from Kericho and Kenya accompanied DP Ruto while attending Kericho County. Some of the leaders include Nelson Koech (Belgut MP), Bahati MP, Soy MP, Kipkelion East MP, Kericho governor, Bureti MP, Didmus Barasa among many other leaders.
