President Uhuru Kenyatta was at Kabarak yesterday to mark the first anniversary of Daniel Moi’s departure.
Gideon Moi and Raymond Moi welcomed invited leaders to their home to commemorate one year since their father passed on.
Uhuru was accompanied by other leaders including Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula among others.
Details from the event have since then indicated that Uhuru is contemplating a move to endorse Musalia Mudavadi and Gideon Moi to be his successors.
This has left tongues wagging at DP Ruto’s Tangatanga camp as the president has not kept his promise to his deputy William Ruto.
Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has now turned to mocking Kalonzo Musyoka after the event at Kabarak.
In a message on his Twitter account, Murkomen has laughed at Kalonzo for being left out of President Uhuru’s table during yesterday’s event.
He has referred to Kalonzo as a commoner, hustler who appeared to be a spectator as Musalia and Gideon were given the attention of the president.
“My friend @skmusyoka was in the Rift but he couldn’t make it to the table. What is the message here? That he is a commoner sorry hustler?” posted Murkomen.

Apart from reports of endorsing Musalia as his successor, the president also launched an attack on his deputy, William Ruto.
Uhuru called out Ruto for disrespect and impatience, using an example of how Daniel Moi respected Mzee Jomo Kenyatta until his time to rule the country came.
