Jubilee party nominated member of Parliament Hon Sabina Chege, is among the leaders Currently in Rome Italy for a high profile meeting.

She accompanied Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi and Bungoma County governor Kenneth Lusaka.

Chege is attending the FAO 117 Council Meeting in her capacity as a member of the Agriculture Committee in the National Assembly.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) provides information and tools to support policy analyses and assess the impact of the war on food security and global agricultural markets.

FAO’s mandate is to improve nutrition, increase agricultural productivity, raise the standard of living in rural populations and contribute to global economic growth.

The delegation from Kenya are therefore attending the meeting to equip themselves with the required knowledge that will assist in improving the agricultural sector in the country to curb the current food insecurity.
