News has emerged that the head of state Hon President William Samoei Ruto has continued with his reshuffles months after settling in to office.

According to news broadcasted by a verifiable source, it has new been reported that Hon Ruto has appointed former KTN News anchor Michael (Mike) Gitonga as the new Secretary State Functions replacing Colonel (Rtd) Cyrus Odhiambo Oguna who resigned earlier in September 2022 after Ruto clinched the country's top job.

Before he (Michael) resigned from KTN television, he was the co-host of the “Morning Express” KTN morning Show with Sophia Wanuna that was being broadcasted from Monday to Fridays between 6am to 9am.
Following his appointment to the new role Mr Michael will "oversee the writing and distribution of news releases, talking points for public appearances and updating content on the website" the source indicated
