Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has come out guns blazing amid alleged plans to heckle the Azimio la Umoja presidential running mate Martha Karua during her tour of the county.
In a video clip on his Facebook page, Kabogo alleged a plan to heckle the Narc Kenya leader by rowdy youths in Tujibebe party t-shirts.
According to the former Governor, the alleged youths are not members of his party and that it is a scheme by his opponents to portray the outfit as violent.
While condemning the planned act, Kabogo termed it as retrogressive and archaic, saying that the practice is old fashioned and should not be tolerated.
The development comes at a time Karua, who is Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga's running mate, has braved the heckling during her Mount Kenya region campaigns.
During one such incident on Thursday, Karua told off her hecklers even as she asked those funding the heckling to come out and face her head-on instead using vulnerable youths to cause chaos in political rallies.
