Joho Launching the Caravan
Joho has taken to his social media pages and urged Kenyans and youths from his region to register in large numbers as voters ahead of next year’s polls. Surprisingly at the event, there were no ODM colors nor symbols raising eyebrows on whether he has left the party.

Even his post on social media did not have any mention of his mother's party ODM which sponsored him to the seat in the past elections that he has taken part in. This latest move among the many past reactions after he and Kingi hinted at forming a regional party.
Coast leaders had hinted at forming a political party that will highlight the plights of the region but the plans were thwarted after he and Kilifi's governor failed to agree on the criteria to be used in forming the party. Joho is also seeking to go for the top seat in next year’s polls.
