Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has left crowd in stitches following his opinion about Raila Odinga's presidential bid. This was during Oparanya's visit to Kakamega where he had gone to campaign for Raila Odinga as well as Fernandes Barasa who is preferred successor in the Kakamega Gubernatorial race

At one point, Oparanya revealed that they had an argument with Mumias East MP Ben Washiali on why Washiali was not supporting Raila's bid. Oparanya has noted that Washiali pointed at Raila's age as the main reason why he was not backing him
In line to this, Oparanya questioned the crowd that had gathered if really Raila Odinga was very old. The Kakamega Governor went on to compare Raila's presidential bid where he termed that Raila was only 77 unlike Mugabe who was in power while he was 91. Oparanya went on to defend Raila indicating that Baba is still young and energetic to lead Kenya
