William Ruto's absence from the event has sparked questions. Its Daniel who hauled Samoei out of blues and castes him in the artery of KANU politics in the earlier 90's. Practically, Ruto is doing a coastal tour launching a number of development projects and this tied his hands from taking part in the ceremony.

However,it could be more than that. Naturally, William and Moi's last born son are not miscible courtesy of the 'stolen' birthright. The two brothers have been rubbing shoulders wherever they meet and this predictably kept Ruto away.
