Wiper Chief Kalonzo Musyoka revealed that the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) had agreed to his running for President to be deputized by Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi, before joining the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Speaking at a rally in Makueni on Friday, Kalonzo said that following the pact, he was ready to work with Mudavadi and that all other leaders of the alliance had no problem with the arrangement.
"My two brothers left me and Gideon Moi and there is no problem with that. I wish them good luck. I was ready to give my brother Musalia Mudavadi the position of vice-president. We had already talked with the others and came to an agreement,” he revealed.
"Gideon Moi had no problems, Wetangula had no problems and now I don't even know what he will receive where he went."
He further pointed out that under the arrangement he was to rule as president for five years if they win the election, reciprocating by backing Mudavadi for the next term.
“And I want to be honest with you. I just wanted to fix Kenya and pass the baton to the youth. I was ready for a five-year term. After five years, I would have supported Mudavadi openly,” he said.
