Ever since Mike Sonko announced that he will be running for the Mombasa gubernatorial seat, he has been receiving sentiments from some people in the coastal region but this has not stopped him from continuing with his passion. Today Sonko was in Kisauni for his campaigns and the people that turned out for the rally have left many people talking.
Initially some people had alleged that Sonko has no supporters in Mombasa but that has been proved wrong. Thousands of people turned out for the rally and this has left Kenyans talking. Sonko has remained strong throughout out his campaigns and he hopes that he will win come August. This is despite the court ruling that he might not be cleared to participate in the elections because of his past record.
"Our intentions to save lives of people who have been oppressed for a long time is unstoppable. We are for people and people are for us. This is a united force. We shall knock doors for your votes," Sonko said.
