As the country grapples shortage of Oxygen to boost it's war on deadly third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, county governments are proving to be the pivotal units in defeating this war.
Bomet Governor Dr.Hillary Barchok has joined the list of Governors including Machakos counterpart Dr Alfred Mutua in providing the much needed oxygen readily available in their counties.
Speaking in Longisa County Referral Hospital while he handed over two generators to boost oxygen production, Dr.Barchok said that the plant was capable of producing 9000 litres per hour and will provide oxygen that has proven to be key for survival of Covid-19 patients to the county and even neighbouring Hospitals.
Barchok revealed that all their isolation beds in Longisa and Koiwa are all connected to oxygen.
The Governor called on those with the oxygen cylinders to surrender them to boost the war on covid-19.
Bomet has recorded approximately 500 coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic last year.
