Azimo One Kenya alliance President Uhuru is currently out of the country on official duty in Switzerland. Early the President had claimed that he wouldn't be joining in the Azimio la Umoja campaigns. According to the reports published by the standard, the President will operate from the background and allow the former prime minister to campaign for himself.
However, the President might change his mind and start campaigns for Raila Odinga to start June. This is according to the reports released by Nation Newspaper. However, these are just rumors because one knows the primary purposes of the meeting. According to Jubilee's director of elections MP Kanini Kega, who spoke to Sunday Nation, President Uhuru Kenyatta has already begun setting the groundwork for his upcoming Azimio campaigns, which are expected to start in late June.
Gatanga MP Joseph Nduati confirmed the gathering, saying that Mount Kenya MPs, particularly those from Nyeri, where the campaigns will begin, had gotten notice of the meeting.
