Raila's Huge Reception In Mudavadi's Backyard That Has Left Kenyans Talking

Raila Odinga led a delegation of Azimio la Umoja coalition leaders to the hometown of Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi on Wednesday, May 25 to drum up support for his presidential bid against Kenya Kwanza nominee William Ruto in the fast approaching August polls.

The Azimio candidate announced on Facebook that he had visited Cheptulu, Vihiga County, as part of his six-day Western area political tour.

He was joined by Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, Vihiga County Governor Ottichilo, and a slew of other Azimio coalition heavyweight.

Raila Odinga expressed his thoughts following the euphoric reception, saying, "Tutarudi tena, Asanteni sana Cheptulu, Vihiga County." "Tutatembea mpaka mwisho pamoja"

Kenyans, notably Vihiga inhabitants, have had varied reactions to his arrival, as the region is seen as Ruto's new political home, with Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula on his side. Below are the reactions:

My President, it was incredible. Tena watu wa ingo, Tutarudi.

This is a movement, Paty.

Justus: Outstanding.

Moses, ground imekubali. Baba number five
