Today in the afternoon, reports have emerged that the president of this country Dr William Samoe Ruto is currently holding a meeting at his office in State house Nairobi. As seen from the reports established by the NTV News, the head of state is currently meeting the constitutional commisions in Kenya.
These commisions includes Kenya National Human Rights Commission, National Land Commission, Independent Electoral and Boundaries, Commission, Parliamentary Service Commission, Judicial Service Commission, Commission on Revenue Allocation, Public Service Commission and finally Salaries and Remuneration Commission. However, the agenda of this meeting between president William Ruto and the constitutional commisions has not been revealed to the public.
This meeting is coming in at a time when the chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commision, EACC Mr Eliud Wabukala is set to retire today. According to NTV, Wabukala is going to retire after serving for two terms as the EACC Chairperson. His retirement is following that of Wafula Chebukati who retired yesterday.
