2022 statehouse duel was visibly a two-horse race challenge pitting the self-proclaimed chief hustler William Ruto and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party mandarin Raila Odinga.
After months of high-octane campaigns, Ruto managed to outfox his erstwhile political master by garnering a total of 7.1 million votes with the latter managing 6.9 million votes.As Ruto and team settle down to live their pre-poll pledges, Raila has claimed the man from Sugoi was not anticipating victory citing the latter approached him before polls Samoei approached him seeking his support in creating the office of the opposition leader.
