The president parted ways with his deputy in a nasty fall out.The deputy president supported Uhuru Kenyatta's presidential bid in 2017 hoping that the president would extend a hand in 2022 but the president went ahead and supported his competitor
According to the standard media the president won't be campaigning for Raila and Azimio at large.Many leaders allied to Azimio expected that the president would campaign for them in Mt Kenya region
