Dp Ruto Alleges Where Raila Is Getting His Campaign Money

On Wednesday, Deputy President William Ruto stated that Azimio Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga was using stolen Covid-19 cash to run his campaign. Governors who have been traveling with Odinga, according to Deputy President Ruto, are helping to fund his presidential campaigns because they have been assured they will face no investigation from the state. What this essentially means is (Stop talking about corruption because you are the most corrupt person, you are protecting the governors who have stolen public money; they are coming to you so that they share with you the stolen money).

This, he noted, was happening at the same time that the IMF had reported that Sh65 billion of the Covid-19 fund had been misplaced. The Auditor General found another Sh10 billion in waste. He criticized the ODM leader, saying it was hypocritical of him to speak out against corruption while also defending well-documented swindlers. You have no right to lecture us on corruption while enjoying the company of Covid-19's billionaires, therefore "wewe wacha kuongea maneno ya corruption." You can't give people advice to drink water while drinking wine, he said. Fred Matiangi, the interior cabinet secretary, was also criticized for the country's spiraling security situation.

Ruto claimed that the CS had abandoned his duties in favor of partisan politics. During his travels across the area, he used Sololo, a language spoken in Marsabit. He lamented that hundreds of lives were being lost at the hands of gangs and other militia with no concrete steps being done to stop the bloodshed. Here in Marsabit, many people have died, and it is so disgusting that individuals entrusted with protecting national security are instead engaged in partisan politics, as Ruto put it.
