Security Tight at JKIA As Chebukati Leads Team Of Commissioners to Receive Ballot Papers Today

There was tight security at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport today when IEBC chairperson Chebukati led his team in witnessing the arrival of the first batch of ballot papers that have already landed in the country today ahead of the polls which are to happen in the coming 30 days.

Chebukati who has promised a credible election was in the company of 7 other commissioners who are leading the IEBC and have confirmed that it is indeed true that the ballot papers have arrived and that they will be distributed to the required areas soon.

This happening at a time when the country continues to prepare for the polls with the two key players Raila and Ruto exchanging words on social media in a bid to appeal to their supporters. Raila continues to insist that no election will happen if the commission does not have manual register ahead of the polls .
