There are those leaders allied to the DP who spoke in Kajiado about the 'huduma namba' as being a political tool claims which was later clarified. This made those Kenyans who had not acquired the number have mixed feelings towards the huduma namba.
Another statement is this which has come from CS Mucheru that this is the number which will replace the identification cards. This has thrown mixed thoughts for those who have been doubting the process. The embattled president of the law society of Kenya has come out to react to these sentiments from the ICT CS.
'National ID Card is an identification document issued under Section 9 of Registration of Persons Act. The Act has not been repealed or amended to enable substitution of ID Cards with Huduma Cards linked to Mastercard as directed by CS Mucheru. The directive is unlawful.' posted Nelson Havi.
This has left Kenyans debating and these are some of their reactions;
