A few days ago, President William Ruto announced his 22 person cabinet where several high profile names featured including well known politicians in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

The President, veered from his predecessor who appointed technocrats to the Ministerial positions and instead went for the politicians who were loyal to him.

Some nominees in his cabinet had pending court cases and this might be an impediment when their names come up for approval in Parliament in a few days.

Yesterday saw the rape allegations against Former Meru Senator Mithika Linturi dropped by the woman who had been accusing him of the act and the matter was settled out of court.

Mithika Linturi is a CS Nominee of President William Ruto who hopes to have all his picks approved by Parliament in the next few days.

Aisha Jumwa, who ran for the Kilifi Gubernatorial post but lost was also nominated for the position of Cabinet Secretary of Gender.

However, she had a court case that involves her academic credentials coming into question as well as another murder case.

This morning, according to the available reliable reports that we have with us from the courts, The Gender CS Nominee can now breath a sigh of relief after the people accusing her of the fake academic credentials alleged to have dropped the case.

This is a good sign that President Ruto's picks for the Cabinet Secretary positions might sail through Parliament when they come up in the next few days.
