In an opinion poll done by Nation Media Group, ODM is likely to sweep most governor seats in Nyanza. Initially after the nominations, the rebels seemed to be more popular than the ODM candidates. This came after the fallout coupled by ODM giving out direct tickets to party loyalists.

Dache Pesa bolted out before the ODM nominations were conducted citing a pre-determined outcome. And this came to live as ODM opted for Ochillo who is the current senator just like everyone expected.
In other parts of Nyanza, Glady's Wanga is ahead with 51%. Evans Kidero comes a distant second surprisingly with 34%. Anyang Nyongo is ahead of Jack Ranguma at 71% while Simba Arati is ahead of Machogu at 60% Amos Nyaribo also has a good lead in Nyamira even though he is not of the ODM party.
