Three UDA Women Aspirants who are likely going to win the gubernatorial seats they are vying for in 2022

In recent years, the number of women in the political arena in the country have been increasing from time to time. As we approach the 2022 general elections, a good number women have already declared their interests to vie for various elective posts.

We have some women who have declared their interests to vie for gubernatorial post in their respective counties. They include; Florence Mutua, Gladys Wanga, Anne Waiguru, Ngirici Wangui, Sabina Chege, Cate Waruguru, Aisha Jumwa, Fatuma Achani, Susan Kihika, Wavinya Ndeti and Martha Karua.

In the United Democratic Alliance party, there are three women who have been very influential and they are likely going to win the gubernatorial posts in their respective counties. They include Senator Susan Kihika of Nakuru county, Aisha Jumwa of Kilifi county and Sabina Chege of Murang'a county.

In Nakuru county, Susan Kihika has posed a stiff competition to the incumbent governor Lee Kinyanjui and she has been traversing the county to popularize her gubernatorial bid. Susan Kihika has been very vocal in the Senate especially on defending the rights of women and youths.

On the other hand, Murang'a Women Representative Sabina Chege is one of the aspirants eyeing to succeed outgoing governor Mwangi Wa Iria. Her strong competitors are Senator Irungu Kang'ata and Moses Mwangi. From the current political activities in Murang'a county, Sabina Chege has been making inroads in the county to convince more voters to vote for her.

Lastly, the flamboyant and vocal Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa has been giving sleepless night to her competitors. Aisha Jumwa will ride on her impressive development records and her firm standing in the National Assembly. The Kilifi county governorship post has attracted the likes of Dan Kazungu, Kazungu Kambi, Stewart Madzayo and Devolution CAS Gedion Mung'aro. From the current political activities and events in Kilifi county, Aisha Jumwa has the potential of winning the top county seat in the coming general elections.
