Politicians continue to traverse the country in a mission to win the votes as the election period nears. The presidential race remains the hot cake with the race turning out to be a two horse contest between William Ruto and Raila Odinga. The two have developed strategies to win the hearts of the Kenyan voters.
Raila Odinga is banking on the BBI report which he is one of the founders while Ruto has developed the hustler narrative.Ruto claims that the aim is to empower the common people. Ruto has been gifting his supporters with wheelbarrows and mikokoteni a step that has received opposition from a section of his critics.
With this going on, the deputy president is expected to tour Gatanga constituency in Murang'a county on 28th of February. Ruto will be hosted by Lawyer Muriu where they will lead in a funds drive aimed at empowering various groups in the constituency.
As preparations for this big event goes on, Irungu Kang'ata has served the anti Ruto leaders with a warning to not try and disrupt the event. Speaking at a wedding in Gatanga on Saturday 13, Kang'ata asked the residents to come out in numbers to receive Ruto.

"Am warning the reggae dancers not to send thugs to interrupt our function," Said Kang'ata. The Murang'a senator is among the latest politicians to join the Ruto's camp. He even joined the deputy president during his Kiambu tour.
