Busia County governor Sospeter Ojaamong has thrown praises for ODM leader Raila Odinga while he was touring the western sides of the country. In his Facebook account, Ojaamong posted a picture of baba captioning it;
"Karibu BABA eneo la Magharibi ya Kenya - ODM is still strong, In Busia County we Delivered 98 parcent in the 2017 general election to Orange Democratic Movement. We continue to aspire even for better, even for other Counties in the region. BABA I'm at your service in any new frontiers, in Busia County we will guard our party ODM and the gains we have made in social and economic development. The dreams you had in 1992, 1997 when I was your Secretary General of NDP, which culminated to the merger between Our Paty and KANU then and 2002, 2007 , 2013 and 2017 are still alive. BABA its your time for the house on the hill. The 5th President. Karibu Nyumbani."
Ojaamong has been a great ally of 'baba' for a long time and a loyal member of ODM.He was previously a member of Parliament for Amagoro on ODM ticket until 2017 when he ran for the gubernatorial seat and successfully clinched it.
Meanwhile,Political meetings have been taking place in different regions around the country despite the Covid-19 pandemic. Great masses were experienced in Nakuru yesterday as Raila was passing through the county. Various leaders have come together in a bid to form alliances that will steer different communities as we look forward to the 2022 polls.
