Kenyans have remained patient as they wait for the release of Presidential results. The tallying and confirmation of the final results are ongoing at Bomas house. Today is the 5th day since votes were cast. The IEBC is finalizing on the results as they have one day remaining constitutionally to release the results.
The race for the state house has remained to be between Raila Odinga and William Ruto. As we wait the results, IEBC has verified that Raila Odinga got 9,328 votes in Mathira constituency where Ruto's running mate Rigathi Gachagua come from. William Ruto won 63,715 votes.
According to IEBC, David Mwaure had 139 votes while George Wajackoya garnered 257 votes. A total of 465 votes were rejected. Despite being Gachagua's constituency, Raila Odinga managed to get some good number of votes. William Ruto together with his deputy Rigathi Gachagua were favourites in Nyeri county that has helped them to garner many votes in the region.
