George Kinoti is Director of Criminal Investigations in Kenya while Noordin Mohamed Haji is the current Director of Public Prosecutions who replaced Keriako Tobiko who resigned in 2018. The two Investigate officers have been of late having differences concerning arrests and prosecutions in the country.
But it seems as if Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti had a good news as the Court ruled against Director of Public Prosecutions, Noordin Haji. Whether the difference between the two investigative officers will continue or if Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji will bow down and resign is yet to be known. Only time will tell
"DPP has no arresting powers, High Court rules. The High Court has ruled that the Constitution does not recognise the power to arrest as a function of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (@ODPP_KE). Nordin Haji busy drafting his resignation." Tweeted by Lord Abraham Mutai
