As 2022 general elections draw closer and closer,political leaders are seen crisscrossing the entire nation in a bid to woo as many supporters as possible.One of the political groupings that is also keen to grasp power come 2022 is the One Kenya Alliance.
The OKA outfit brings together Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper,Musalia Mudavadi of Amani National Congress,Moses Wetangula of Ford Kenya and Gideon Moi of KANU.Latest to join the outfit is former Cabinet Minister Cyrus Jirongo who is also the UDP leader.
The OKA leaders have sent a strong warning that they would continue to be intact and work together until they form the next government.They alluded confidence that their camp would emerge victorious and urged Kenyans who have not registered as voters to get out in large numbers and do so.
The leaders who comprised of Kalonzo,Mudavadi, Wetangula and Jirongo were speaking on Tuesday during their stopovers in Makueni to drum up support for Wiper candidate Eshio Mwaima who is sheduled to face off with others in looming Civic by-election in Nguu/Masumba ward.The leaders added that they would front one of them who would inturn be elected as the fifth President of Kenya.
During the campaign trail,KANU Chairman Gideon Moi was not present but was represented by the party's Executive Director George Wainaina.
Should the OKA outfit go it alone,they are likely to face off with Deputy President William Ruto and ODM party leader Raila Amolo Odinga in the August 2022 presidential contest.
