"Ulifutwa" Reactions As Raila Addresses Claims Of Being Sacked From AU.

The former prime minister Raila Odinga has dismissed claims that he was sacked from his position as the African union envoy incharge of infrastructure development.

Speaking to KTN TV in Tuesday evening, the azimio la umoja one Kenya alliance party leader said he left the job on his own volition after serving for four years.

He cited challenges such as regular meetings in various African capital cities that required him to travel as the main reason as to why he called it a day so that he can concentrate on his other engagements in the country.

He explained of a meeting he had with African union chairperson mousa Faki in Darker Senegal whereby he expressed interest of quitting from the position.

He added that It didn't come as surprise when he got notification from Faki about the end of his tour of duty.

"Mimi sijafutwa na mtu, kazi hiyo ilikuwa nyingi. Nina kazi hapa na nikaona ni safari za mara kwa mara kwenda nje", said Raila.

Reports about Raila Odinga's removal from the position have been dominating news headlines with critics saying it had to happen because of his decision not to recognize Ruto as the president of the republic of Kenya.

Kenyans who reacted online differed with Raila saying indeed he was fired.
