President William Ruto is expected to begin his two day working tour in the Nyanza Region from tomorrow, 13th January 2023. His entourage is expected to tour the counties of Kisumu, Homabay and Siaya. 
According to statehouse spokesperson, Hussein Mohamed, the President is expected to launch several projects in line with his economic agenda of impacting the livelihoods of Kenyans. He will be launching the first phase of 5000 affordable housing project in Homabay county. This is a pledge which he made in October 2022 when he visited the county.
In his tour, President Ruto will be presiding over the commissioning of the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University Of Science and Technology Research Hub. While in the region, he is expected to meet with the local leaders and inspect and launch several projects. 
This is the second time President William Ruto is visiting the Nyanza Region since elected President. It is know the Nyanza region was very hostile to Ruto during elections but he still cares for the people.
