UDA National Executive Council held a meeting on February 27th 2023 to discuss on matters pertaining the party. Among the issues discussed is the nation wide registration of members. This exercise will run from 1st March 2023 to 30th April 2023. It will be a online registration exercise. This will be followed by grassroots elections of UDA party official across all forty seven counties.
Additionally, during the meeting NEC made major changes. NEC Council appointed Embu Governor Hon. Cecily Mbarire as party chairperson replacing Johnstone Muthama. EALA Mp Omar Hassan takes over as the party vice chairman replacing kiprutoh Arap kirwa.
Cleo Malalah has resigned as ANC member and took the role of being the new UDA secretary general . Him. Vincent Musyoka is the new Party Organising Secretary who took over from Karisa Nzai.
This move is aimed at solidifying the party.
