The Deputy President of Kenya, Dr. William Ruto is keen to succeed his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta and has been criss-crossing the country in search of votes in readiness for 2022 presidential elections. The Country's Second in Command is currently at loggerheads with Pres. Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ruto's main competitor for 2022 presidential election is Raila Odinga who has also been meeting with various political leaders across the country. A tweeter poll done by popular blogger, Asmali on best Presidential candidate to succeed Pres. Uhuru indicates that DP Ruto has an early lead against Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi and Gideon Moi.
It seems the Deputy President is very popular among the Kenyan voters and his early lead against his political competitors is a clear indication of his increasing popularity.
Baringo senator, Gideon Moi has also been transversing some parts of Kenya in a bid to popularize himself among the Kenyan voters. He's been seen as Pres. Uhuru's successor due to the strong relationship between his late father and Pres. Uhuru Kenyatta. The late Mzee Moi once endorsed President Uhuru Kenyatta for the top seat ahead of the 2002 presidential elections.
