President Uhuru's terms end the next 18 months after his two terms in office. The race to succeed him has started taking shape as leaders pull up their muscles to form lasting solutions that will help win general elections. So far the country has been polarized by two antagonizing parties; that is William Ruto and ODM chief Raila Odinga.
Ruto broke up with Jubilee party and formed his party United Democratic Alliance UDA in company of other leaders. They have a wheelbarrow symbol in which they claim reasinizes well with the common mwanainchi. They have equally told off the president and Raila Odinga that their BBI document is bond to fail.
Political violence have also started to be experienced in rallies and social media with the latest one being a fight between Ruto ally Sylvanus Osoro and Raila's Simba Arati. The two had a fist fight in front of their bosses something that took the country by a surprise. It is in these circumstances that the president has sense a chaotic county in future.
Today while speaking at an event, the president has sent a warning to those leaders planning to course chaos during this period of campaigns. He questioned the arrogance that some leaders in the country have and how they speak to authority. He said such utterance is not good for the country and that has to stop.
Uhuru's remarks comes just days after former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko was charged in court and taken to Kamiti Maximum prison. Leaders allied to Deputy president Ruto has condemned what Sonko is going through as barbaric and backward.
