Jimmy Kibaki led TND party backs Raila's Azimio La Umoja ahead of August polls

Several political parties across the country have backed Raila Odinga Azimio La Umoja ahead of August polls. This parties includes PNU, DAP-K, Jubilee and Maendeleo Chapchap.

Today The National Democratic party has joined the list after backing Raila's Azimio La Umoja movement. The party is led by the elder son of the former president Kibaki Mr. Jimmy Kibaki.

The party leadership vowed to support Raila Odinga presidential bid under Azimio La Umoja movement. Jimmy Kibaki said that the former prime minister Raila Odinga is the only preferred presidential candidate who can fit well on the shoes of president Uhuru Kenyatta.

The leaders were speaking yesterday during the party's aspirants meeting at Safari park hotel in Nairobi. A number of aspirants from The National Democratic party attended the consultative meeting and vowed to popularize the party at grassroot levels.

The National Democratic party is led by Dr. Thuo Mathenge and Jimmy Kibaki as party leader and secretary general respectively. The party leader Dr. Thuo Mathenge is eyeing for Nyeri gubernatorial seat on a TND party ticket.

Tana River speaker and Lake view MCA Wanango officially joined the party ahead of 2022 polls. The Tana River speaker will be vying for Tana River gubernatorial seat on the party's ticket.
