Hon Gideon Keter was nominated to the National Assembly in the year 2017 by the Jubilee Party. He was entrusted with the role of representing the Youth population in Kenya.

Last year, the youthful legislator declared his interest for the Kuresoi South parliamentary Seat on a United Democratic Alliance Party which is led by Deputy President William Ruto.
Keter was contesting alongside the incumbent Member of Parliament Hon Joseph Tanui and former MP Zakayo Cheruiyot who recently rejoined politics.
Gideon has lost in the primaries to the sitting MP Hon Tanui. He has recently taken to his official social media pages and congratulated him for clinching the Party's ticket.

He is not the only politician that has been shown dust in the larger Nakuru County. In Naivasha Constituency, Hon Jayne Kihara too has been defeated by the former MP Hon Kihaga.
