Martha Karua, the leader of the Narc Kenya Party and the vice president of the Azimio La Umoja, replied to a late-night message she got from the former speaker of the Nairobi County Assembly, Beatrice Elachi. This was done before the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission made the final announcement of the Presidential results.
Beatrice Elachi congratulated Martha Karua on her social media page and called her one of the best people of her time.
"Good job, @Martha Karua. You're the first of our time. " Beatrice Elachi posted a tweet.
In response to Elachi's message, Martha Karua said, "It's been a tough one."
"Asante, my dear, and congrats, tough one," Karua said.
Martha Karua and Beatrice Elachi are both strong women who have gotten very far in this country. Karua wants to be the second-most powerful person in Kenya if they win the general elections in 2022. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is almost ready to announce the results from the Bomas of Kenya.
