Immediate Kiminini member of parliament Chris Wakhungu Wamalwa who was contesting against Natembeya among others with the hopes of clinching the Trans Nzoia gubernatorial seat has followed precedence set by other political bigwigs, and conceded defeat to seasoned administrator turned politician George Natembeya.
In his concession speech, Wamalwa acknowledged that his quest has been unsuccessful consequently congratulating Natembeya for the spirited fight he put against him among others to clinch the coveted seat.
"The Elections are now over and the results are out. I have not been successful in my quest to be the second Governor of our great County. I congratulate my Brother George Natembeya on his victory. I wish him well." He said
Wamalwa also heaped praise to Kiminini residents for trusting him to represent them in parliament for two terms together with the Ford Kenya party which supported him throughout his journey in the murky waters of politics.
"I thank the Almighty God, all my supporters, from both far and near, for their unyielding support. Receive my eternal gratitude. I thank the great people of Kiminini Constituency for giving me the opportunity to be their MP for two terms.I thank my Party- Ford Kenya for it's support. My heartfelt gratitude to the party supporters and volunteers who have worked so hard in this campaign." He said.
