Cyrus Jirongo who is one of the One Kenya Alliance principles was in attendance during the meeting between the OKA principles with the Mount Kenya Foundation. Jirongo who is the former Lugari member of parliament said that Kikuyu's future in business depends on peace and unity after the 2022 elections.
Jirongo was openly against the way young people have been brainwashed and balkanised into the halves and have nots. He said that if something is not done urgently, the hustler narrative will take this country down the drain.
He beseeched the Kikuyus not to to have a preferred candidate because that will complicate things for them and Kenya come 2022. He said, "Musikuje na preferred candidate, hio itakua mbaya". According to him, Kikuyus having a preferred candidate will sow a seed of discontent and anger in the hearts of leaders and tribes who have been voting for Mount Kenya leaders. He called on Kikuyus to lay a level playing field for all the presidential candidates without preferring one above the others. He said, "Musioneshe ubagusi."
Do you agree with Cyrus Jirongo's warning that it will be bad for Kikuyus to have a preferred presidential candidate in 2022?
