Several politicians have been eying the opportunity to replace President Kenyatta when his term Finally comes to an end in 2022. His Deputy William Ruto is among the leading candidates muted to take over.
The Deputy President has been making prior arrangements and preparation including preparing finances for the hefty task that lies ahead. A few days ago the Deputy President visited Uganda where he had been invited by President Museveni.
During his visit, Ruto reportedly had an opportunity to visit his multi-billion Agribusiness in the country. according to a report by the Daily Nation newspaper, Ruto owns thousands of acres in Uganda where he plants avocado for export in Europe.
The two also discussed politics with Museveni reportedly asking Ruto to refrain from attacking his boss in public. Ruto also asked Museveni to help mediate Reconciliation between Uhuru and himself.
