Chief Justice Martha Koome Reveals Why She Will Not Leave Election Committee Before 2022 Elections

2022 journey to succeed President Uhuru is taking new shape each day and Kenyans have not been left behind from airing their views on which leader they will vote for as their next President.

Several opinion polls have narrowed down the succession race to be a two-horse race between Deputy President William Ruto and ODM boss Raila Odinga.

Despite polls giving Ruto an upper hand in the succession race, his camp has rubbished the polls and termed them to be deep state engineered.

Yesterday Nandi senator Samson Cherarkay who is a close ally of Dp Ruto alleged that Chief Justice Martha Koome was not acting in good faith overseeing the 2022 election preparedness committee.

Today the soft-spoken Chief Justice Martha Koome has broken her silence and revealed that she will not the election committee and promised that the committee is not made up of politicians who can be compromised.

"I met an intergovernmental committee on election preparedness on Tuesday and I was attacked for holding the meeting. Let’s understand that the Judiciary cannot deliver justice on its own," Koome said.
