One Kenya Alliance is currently going through a moment of increased political tension as they struggle to find an appropriate flag bearer. This happens amid incitement and push from Musalia Mudavadi's camp as allies want him appointed to be their flag bearer. This comes after Senator Malala's words where he insisted that Mudavadi must be chosen to be One Kenya Alliance coalition.

During her live NTV news interview, he said that the Alliance National Congress party is not ready to take anything less than Mudavadi not being selected as the flag bearer. He said that Mudavadi has the most numbers and he is very famous. Senator Malala has said that if One Kenya Alliance committee does any careless selection, the people who support Raila will definitely refuse.

When Malala was questioned if he is being paid to say the things he does in public, he said that he was selected to represent more than 300,000 people and when he speaks, he represents the voice of all those people.
