The former prime minister Raila Odinga has been traversing different parts of the country popularizing his new Azimio La Umoja. He has already launched it in Nakuru county, Homabay county, Garissa county, Mombasa county and Kakamega county.
Today the former prime minister will launch his Azimio La Umoja in Turkana county. The event will take place at Lodwar in Turkana county. Various issues affecting the county and the larger North Eastern region will be discussed in the meeting.
Jubilee leaders have landed in Lodwar to attend the Azimio La Umoja launch in the county. The plane carrying touched down at Lodwar airport. The leaders are led by Kieni legislator Kanini Kega who has turned up to be a close supporter of the ODM party leader.
The meeting will be also attended by elected ODM leaders and party officials from the county. Other delegates from different parties are also invited in the launch. Senior government officials from the region are also expected to grace the event.
Succession politics is set to dominate in the launch. Regional and national politics will also be addressed in the meeting.
