Hon.Babu Owino ,the Member of Parliament of Embakasi East, has failed to get the seat on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
According to the People's Daily Newspaper, the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance has settled the seat for Nominated Member of Parliament John Mbadi, who was the leader of the Minority in the 12th August Parliament House.
Hon.Babu Owino has been proposed to head the Education Committee because of his excellent academic records. Many people believe he will do well.
However, other members of Parliament, such as the legislator of Kinangop, Hon.Kwenya Thuku, claim that their party leadership has settled on him to take over as chair of the commercial committee .
ODM, Jubilee, and Wiper Party are also expected to make a decision on the choice of three nominees to P.S. Of the three positions, one has to be a woman, while one of the nominees has to be from the Senate, meaning that only one slot will be available for the parties to fill the void.
The Wiper Party has already settled on Hon. Patrick Makau to occupy its slot ,but ODM and Jubilee have not yet decided on their nominees.
Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga is said to be supporting his elder brother, Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga, to be one of the nominees.
