Raila Allies React to Uhuru's Silence After Ruto's Appointment, Remind Him About His Opposition Role

Raila Odinga Allies have reacted to former President Uhuru's silence since the day he was appointed by President William Ruto to serve as a special envoy in peacemaking, reminding him about his role in opposition.

Speaking to the Nation, Raila Odinga's allies have informed former President Uhuru Kenyatta that he should not be diverted from his role as the Azimio One Kenya Alliance patron and that he has a role to play as the opposition leader.

ODM's Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi has said that Mr. Odinga’s allies do not think that Mr. Kenyatta’s new role in Dr. Ruto’s administration will prevent him from engaging in opposition politics and that what they expect from him is to make sure that he serves the job as well as contribute to the opposition role.

“Special envoy status does not prevent one from political participation. We have seen that with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and even Baba,” said Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi.
