Gideon Moi Makes A Mistake That May End Up Angering President Uhuru Kenyatta

In Rift Valley region, there are two top leaders who are fighting over the region. Those are KANU party leader Gideon Moi and Deputy President William Ruto. All the two leaders may end up being on the ballot for the presidential seat in the coming general election and they all know that President Uhuru Kenyatta's support on either of them will hugely affect the end results.

Although DP William Ruto has now deputized President Uhuru Kenyatta in two consecutive terms, Gideon Moi is the one who is currently closer to the Head of State. Today though, he may have angered President Uhuru Kenyatta after breaking one of the corona virus pandemic restrictions imposed by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Just recently, President Uhuru came up with strong Covid-19 restrictions and claimed that no one, not even himself should break them. One of those restrictions was limiting the number of people attending a funeral to only family members but today, Gideon Moi among other top politicians like Caleb Kositany, Jackson Mandago, William Chepkut and other attended a funeral of the late Abraham Kiptanui. The President has already been at war with Deputy President William Ruto so it won't be a new thing for the DP William Ruto's allies at the funeral, but on the other side, Gideon Moi may have angered Uhuru by his action to join in.
