Ruto Reveals Whether He Will Be Joining Raila And Uhuru In Kirinyaga For Madaraka Day Celebrations

With two days until the country's Madaraka Day celebrations in Kirinyaga county, Deputy President William Ruto has come out to clarify whether he will be joining other guests for the celebrations, including President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga.

Ruto promised Kenyans that he would be in Kirinyaga on Wednesday for the celebrations when he showed up for an interview with Mo Radio in Mombasa county on Sunday evening.

Because of his differences with President Uhuru Kenyatta, the DP's presence in Kirinyaga had been questioned. Despite being president and deputy, the two have not met in public in a long time.

"I will be in Kirinyaga on Wednesday because it is a national event and I will be there to celebrate with the people of Kirinyaga and Kenya," Ruto said.

On the Kemsa scandal, Ruto expressed his optimism the individuals who were involved in the graft will be arrested and face the full force of the law despite the fact that the case has taken considerable time.
