Pauline Njoroges Resurfaces Past Evidence That Shows Ruto Was Set To Pick A Woman Running Mate

Already the August presidential elections have been shaped after the presidential aspirants named their running mates, deputy president William Ruto named Mathira member of parliament Rigathi Gachagua after long hours of a standoff whether to pick Gachagua or Tharaka Nithi senator Kithure Kindiki who was the most preferred in opinion polls and by Ruto allied members of parliament.

Pauline Njoroge has revisited a 31st August 2020 standard newspaper that had reported that William Ruto was willing to pick a woman running mate in this year's presidential elections, the paper reported that William Ruto was alive to the two third gender rule, he had said it is high time the gender rule to be implemented to allow women have equal opportunities in government so that they can address problems facing women and youth.

The Kenya Kwanza has downplayed the gender card following nomination of Martha Karua as the running mate for Raila Odinga, they say that their alliance is the best gender balanced since their cabinet will be made up of 50% of women.

Thank you.
