Wambugu's Tactical Move That Could Earn Him Elective Seat in Future Elections

Wambugu Ngunjiri is among Mt Kenya based political operatives and a member of Jubilee Party (JP) who failed to clinch elective seats in the recently concluded poll.

Prior to 2022 elections, the former Nyeri Town MP was certain that UDA wave in the region posed no threat to JP but this turned out to be a mere fallacy after Ruto-led party swept the region clean.

Worth a mention, the former parliamentarian is among the few operatives who have come to terms with their loss and even congratulated Ruto-Rigathi led government for their hitherto promising social-economic moves.

Wambugu's timely Saul-to-Paul conversion will likely reshape him ahead of 2027 polls, according to one of the most popular rhetorics doing rounds within the political corridors, one of the reasons why Mr Ngunjiri and team failed to secure seats in August poll is because they failed to listen to the ground that had shifted from Jubilee side to UDA's.

By supporting the government of the day which is popular in the vote-rich political hub, Wambugu has tactically positioned self for a seemingly great future.
