UDA Is Sensing An Early Defeat : Gladys Wanga's Guns Up For Ruto Over CJ Koome's Role Ahead of Polls

Today's dailies have the DP Ruto raising concern about the position of Chief Justice Martha Koome in the 2022 elections preparedness team.

While the team is multi - sectoral drawing members from across board, the DP feels it is not right for Koome as a referee to sit in the team as the judiciary may be compromised in decision making should there be petitions.

Vocal ODM legislator Gladys Wanga has mentioned that Koome needs to be part of the team because the Judiciary needs to draft a budget and present to IEBC for them to be prepared to handle petitions should they arise in the electioneering period.

Wanga has also said that UDA has sensed an early defeat and is therefore dragging the CJ into non issues. " Do not use the CJ as a scapegoat of whom you want to be removed, just mention the individuals that you need removed " Wanga said.

Interior CS Fred Matiangi is also part of the robust team that is assessing the election preparedness of the country.
